LAKAN GURO SHEILA

Hi,I'm Sheila.

Over the past five years, I've dedicated myself to the art of Pekiti Tirsia Kali, training with Tuhon Rich of Train Kali as part of the Makilas group. Within the Pekiti Tirsia Kali World Federation, I've earned the title of Lakan Guro.

My journey began in the Philippines, but I was raised in the state of Florida. My passion for understanding and preserving my heritage is the driving force behind my unwavering commitment to Kali.

In my pursuit of Kali mastery, I adopt a holistic approach, melding the realms of knowledge taxonomy, science, and art. My training places a significant emphasis on the art of effective note-taking techniques.

Guro Rolando

I’m Rolando Rodriguez, and I’ve been passionate about martial arts for as long as I can remember. My journey began with Kung Fu (Choy La Fut and Long Fist) and Tae Kwon Do, which laid the foundation for my understanding of movement, discipline, and respect for the arts. In 2013, I discovered Pekiti Tirsia Kali and began training with the Makilas family, immersing myself deeply in this dynamic and practical Filipino martial art.

As an instructor, my goal is to help every student grow—not just in skill but in confidence and understanding. I believe Kali is a highly adaptable and personal art, and I encourage my students to make it their own. Whether you’re here to build self-defense skills, improve physical fitness, or connect with a rich martial tradition, I’m excited to guide you on your journey. Let’s train and grow together!
